An exotic summer tea party on the fruit and veg aisle

We've been away on holiday for 4 weeks and apparently we missed some good weather in the UK during our escape. The day we arrived it rained and rained and rained,so when they said the weather had been great, it took a lot of convincing, but i believe we were told this so they could feel better for not having been on holiday with us, so I let them believe that the weather had been good!

So yesterday I got to experience some lovely pre-summer weather for myself ! I remain hopeful that it is an appetizer of what's to come in the next few months. So whilst browsing the fruit and vegetable aisles in Sainsbury's scratching my head as to what vegetables to prepare for Sunday lunch. I hovered around the fruit aisle for a lot longer that I usually do eyeing up the strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and other summer fruits, and occasionally glancing over at the rather limited exotic fruit selection now and again thinking Sweet Bakes and treats to rustle up with these fresh fruits! yum...

My mind started working in overdrive. It took me to a rather beautifully manicured garden with white cast iron furniture. On the tables were beautiful tea sets and displayed were Olivia's Sweet Bakes and treats I had rustled up with the fresh summer and exotic fruits I had eyed up in Sainsbury's whilst looking for vegetables to have with our Sunday lunch. I can't even begin to describe the look on the faces on those who were taking  (bitelets) little polite bites of these Sweet Bakes an treats!  (I'm salivating even as I write this post). Then in the distance, I heard a child calling her mother in a rather frustrated voice as if they had been saying "Mummy" a few too many times. I was immediately taken back to the air conditioned supermarket fruit aisle staring at a punnet of strawberries. The distant voice became incredibly loud. Olivia, my 2 year old daughter was almost in tears as evidently, she had been wanting my attention for a while. Any hooo

Let me attempt and recreate the scene visually for you to get what I was seeing in my vision...

Cast Iron Garden Furniture
The garden furniture similar to this was place all over the garden with seats occupied by beautiful guests.
This manor was definitely in my vision
The garden was pretty similar to this one but a lot larger.
The beautiful rose tea set I envisioned seeing
I'm certain I saw these beautiful ladies enjoying several of Olivia's Sweet Bakes!..in fact i'm very certain. I believe this is the point when they may or may not have been looking over at the many tables displayed with Olivia's Sweet Bakes!

;)
I hope you worked with me in trying to see my vision.

Disclaimer: None of the pictures in this post were taken by me neither do I own any of them. They are all to help you see my vision whilst shopping for vegetable to have with our Sunday lunch of which I ended up not preparing any of, but opted for Pizza Express instead.

Have an amazing day :) x

Here we go...Finally

I'm so relieved to be finally writing up my first blog post. It's been a long time coming with a lot of contemplating of  should I? can I? What if? I'll do it when... I'll be ready when... I'm so good at encouraging others to live out their passions and use their talents but when it comes to me, it takes forever to do things that I am passionate about and live out my dreams, but here we go... FINALLY. The time is now, no better time than the present.

I'm so excited to be starting this blog and sharing with those interested, my passions, hobbies and interests in the kitchen, my favourite room in my home and everybody else's home to come to think of it! I love hanging out in the kitchen, having conversations with friends and family whilst cooking, baking or whilst doing the washing up. I think it's fair to say that I will purchase my future home determined on how much I love its kitchen. I feel right at home there, so I'll be sharing posts of what I get up to in my favourite place in my home... the kitchen :)
